TRUST DRIVE︎︎︎

Brazil faces an unprecedented ethical and political crisis in its history. With corruption scandals involving private companies, high-ranked politicians, and even a former president in prison, Brazilians' self-esteem has plunged along with the trust of institutions, their representatives, and even in themselves.

But can we call an entire country corrupt for the bad behavior of a few powerful people?

To test the Brazilian honesty, we left a Chevrolet Cruze unlocked with the key inside in downtown São Paulo for anyone who wanted to drive it. A totem informed the public that the car was open, and all they had to do was get in the car and drive. More than showing that honesty is still part ofthe Brazilian essence, we have created a new way of a test drive, eliminating all the bureaucracy and taking the car where people are: in the streets.
